Laurie Beth Koller

Laurie Beth began her journey at NYC Health + Hospitals in 2022, primarily leading and enhancing the system as the lead Patient Experience advisor. In her current role, she leads the strategic oversight of developing and implementing patient experience programs, which has directly contributed to the system’s mission of providing high-quality, compassionate care to the diverse and often underserved populations of New York City. She works on system-wide patient experience awareness while facilitating patient experience training using best practices from industry standards.

She is passionate about engaging multidisciplinary teams across the system to enhance the holistic and person-centered experience across care settings in an equitable and inclusive manner. She helps create and manage system care experience policies, aligning initiatives with quality care standards, and tracking KPIs for care experience. She prides herself on working closely with clinical and non-clinical teams, ensuring that patients’ voices remain at the heart of every decision. Her goal is to advocate for all patients, particularly the youth, and provide valuable insights into the importance of involving young people and their communities in health initiatives.

Previously, she served as the Patient & Family Special Program Manager on the pediatric floor at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she cultivated a deeper understanding of how the caregiving environment can play an important role in creating safe spaces for individuals to heal and cope with their personal health experiences.
