Bassel El Sayegh

Bassel El Sayegh is a healthcare leader with over 15 years of global experience driving quality improvement, patient-centered care, and healthcare innovation across North America, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. He currently serves as the Regional Director for EMEA at Planetree International, based in Dubai, where he leads regional efforts to help healthcare organizations deliver more compassionate, personalized, and high-quality care.

Prior to joining Planetree, Bassel was the Regional Director for the Middle East and Eastern Europe at Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI) and Market Development Lead for the Middle East and Asia at Accreditation Canada, where he led accreditation and quality improvement initiatives across diverse healthcare systems, while expanding the organization’s global reach and partnerships. With hands-on experience in both mature and emerging healthcare markets, Bassel brings a global perspective to challenges in healthcare transformation. His areas of expertise include internationalbusiness development, healthcare strategy, patient-centered care, quality improvement, standardization, and data-driven decision making.
