Tawuniya Insurance Company was established in 1986 as a Saudi joint-stock company under Commercial Registration No. 1010061695, dated 18/01/1986. It is the first national company licensed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to operate various types of insurance according to the cooperative principle permitted by Sharia. The company’s authorized and paid-up capital amounts to SAR 1.5 million.
Tawuniya was granted License No.: License No.: TMN/1/200412 from the Insurance Authority, the first license in the insurance sector under the Cooperative Insurance Companies Control Law. The company operates under the supervision and regulation of the Insurance Authority.
