Imran is a seasoned hospitality senior executive who has worked in both, Commercial & Operational leadership roles in a number of international luxury hotel brands across 5 different continents covering countries including UAE, UK, USA, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Australia, and Zambia. In his hospitality career spanning more than 30 years, Imran spent 16 years with Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts where he led Sales & Marketing functions at property, cluster & at corporate level before growing in operational and executive management roles at iconic hotels such as Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Jumeirah Emirates Towers and Burj Al Arab. Imran then continued to build upon his professional credentials further by working in leadership roles with the Four Seasons, Accor, Anantara and The Aga Khan Foundation. It was with The Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi, where Imran utilized his rich experience in hospitality management in the field of Healthcare where he led the pre & post opening phase of Princess Zahra Pavillion – an all suite state of the art private wing – as its General Manager focusing on hospitality and Patient Experience (PX). In 2020, Imran joined Diriyah Company, one of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s giga project & a pivotal part of the Vision2030 strategy launched by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of the Kingdom, in order to manage its Hospitality assets Development function. He has since then enjoyed consistent growth & recognition whilst contributing to the organization’s hospitality asset development strategy, positioning, selection of hotel & branded residence operators and leading Hotel & Branded Residences Management Agreement (HMA, RMLA etc.) negotiations. In 2023, Imran was given additional responsibilities in Diriyah and appointed as ‘Centre of Excellence’ (COE) for Hospitality Asset Class in Diriyah Company leading the Hospitality Development practice as Executive Director and responsible for strategic guidance and leadership across a diverse portfolio of 34 hotels & resorts and 15 Luxury Branded Residence projects currently under development across 3 master plans. This unprecedented line up of leading global luxury brands such as Aman, Four Seasons, The Ritz-Carlton, Raffles, Capella, Montage, The Oberoi, Chedi, Faena, Langham, Waldorf Astoria, and Edition to name a few. In 2024, Imran was further recognized and appointed ‘Head of Centre of Excellence’ thus covering – in addition to Hospitality Asset Class – a number of other strategic verticals including Retail, Retail Design & Delivery, Cultural, Educational, Sports & Wellness, & Parking & Mobility asset classes.Imran holds an MBA degree from the prestigious London Business School, UK and earned his General Managers Program (GMP) certification from Cornell University, USA.
