Dr. Maryam AlQaseer is a Consultant Cardiologist with over a decade of experience at King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Dammam. She specializes in heart failure and cardio-oncology. King Fahad Specialist Hospital is the only tertiary and quaternary cancer center in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia under the Ministry of Health. She has played a key role in establishing cardio-oncology services to support cancer patients, enabling effective treatment while mitigating the risks of cardiotoxicity.
Dr. AlQaseer also serves as the Group Vice President of Quality and Performance at the Eastern Health Cluster, an organization dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare across the Middle East. With a strong focus on person-centered and value-based care, she is committed to improving healthcare outcomes and advancing the quadruple aim of better health, improved care, enhanced value, and joy at work.
She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate fellowship training under the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and Beaumont Hospital in Dublin. Additionally, she holds a fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. She earned an MSc in Healthcare Administration from RCSI Bahrain, along with several other professional certifications.
Actively involved in research, Dr. AlQaseer has contributed as an author to many of the heart failure guidelines in Saudi Arabia over the past seven years.
